Dr. Miguel Damien, Medical Director of East Coast Infertility and IVF, has practiced in
Monmouth and Ocean counties since 1989. He graduated from Dartmouth Medical School
and his post-doctoral training included an internship in surgery and residency in Obstetrics
and Gynecology at the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Damien's fellowships in Reproductive
Endocrinology and Infertility were completed at Harvard Medical School and the University
of Connecticut. Dr. Damien is sub-specialty Board Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology
and Infertility. Dr. Damien speaks Spanish fluently.

Jacqueline Miller, Embryologist and Laboratory Supervisor
Jackie has been an East Coast Infertility and IVF team member for three years. She
has a BS in Biology from William Paterson University. She is certified from the American
Board of Bioanalists as a Technical Supervisor in both Embryology and Andrology.
Jackie is a member of both ASRM the NY Metro Embryological Society. In addition to
overseeing the laboratories at East Cost Infertility and IVF, Jackie acts as a consultant
to labs across the United States, performing cell biopsies for genetic screening.
The thing Jacqueline enjoys most about being part of the East Coast IVF team is the
great relationship she has with Dr. Damien and that she and Dr. Damien work well as a
team and share the same professional outlook and approach .
Lori Mesi, RN - IVF Coordinator
Lori has been an East Coast IVF team member for more than 16 years. She is a
registered nurse and is certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She is an
active member NCC. Lori enjoys being a team member at East Coast IVF because she
likes being part of a team that is both very professional and very successful.
Claudia Galizio, RN - Donor Egg Coordinator
Claudia began her career with East Coast IVF more than 13 years ago. In addition to
providing patient support, Claudia is responsible for all aspects of our donor egg
program. She is a registered nurse and is a member of NSO, the Nurses' Service
Organization. The most rewarding thing about being a part of the East Coast IVF team
is how satisfying and rewarding it is to be able to help couples achieve their dreams.
Wanda Cabrera, Practice Administrator & Billing and Benefits
Coordinator
Wanda is the newest member of our patient care team. She has over 10 years
management experience in health care and has been a strong, innovative leader at
a number of area practices. Wanda and Dr. Damien direct operations at East Coast
IVF and work to continue our exceptional patient care standards.
Wanda enjoys interacting with East Coast IVF's patients and speaks fluent Spanish.
Wanda, Dr. Damien and our entire patient care team strive to deliver a personal and
professional experience to all of our patients.




Charlene Cavaleri, RN
Charlene has been with East Coast Infertility and IVF for over 4 years. She has over 10
years experience working in the neo-natal intensive care unit at Kimball Medical Center.
In addition to patient support, Charlene recovers our patients post egg retrieval and
embryo transfer.
Charlene finds talking to patients and learning more about their individual experiences
to be most interesting part of her position with the East Coast team.

Frank Barnes, PhD, HCLD - Laboratory Director
Dr. Barnes is an accomplished scientist and well-known embryologist whose career in the
reproductive technology field spans over 20 years. He received his Masters Degree from
the University of Missouri and his Doctoral Degree from the University of Wisconsin.
As Senior Scientist at biotech firms in Texas and Utah, Dr. Barnes investigated in vitro
oocyte maturation and cell cycle effects on embryo development. He has published
numerous articles and lectured internationally in this field.
In 1993, Dr. Barnes joined Professors A. Trounson and C. Wood at the Center for Early
Human Development at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia where he assisted in
developing the protocols for in vitro human oocyte maturation that culminated in the birth of
a healthy child. He continues to assist and conduct research in this field.
In 1994 Dr. Barnes joined the multi-site IVF practice, Pacific Fertility Center of California, as
Executive Laboratory Director, managing up to twenty embryologists and technicians and
over 1500 IVF cycles annually. He instituted many laboratory technological changes and
helped pioneer the area of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
Dr. Barnes serves as Laboratory Director to several IVF Practices across the country. As a
High Complexity Laboratory Director, he also participates as an inspector in the
Reproductive Laboratory Accreditation Program for the College of American Pathologists.
